A#9: STEAM week activity review

Recently my school celebrated STEAM week or 7 days in which activities based on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math were developed. As a student I participated in one of the activities which was centered around creating images utilizing Legos. My classmates JJ and Gabriel were in charge of this activity located in the schools library. Overall I had a really good time while participating. Apart from my friends many other students from different grades were also there. Id say most of them were Seniors but there were a lot of Sophomores as well. I think their organization was pretty spot on but I do believe giving us more time to create would’ve assured a better outcome lol. Below ill insert some pictures of what me and my teammates ended up creating.

TM #12: Classmates Audio Widgets

TM #12: Classmates Audio Widgets

In the past few days we’ve been going over the “audio” option in WordPress’s widgets. As part of our technology class, my classmates and I created an audio to sit in our homepage and briefly describe our website and it’s purpose. In this post I’ll be going over some of my friend’s work and sharing my thoughts on their audio widgets!

A. Behind the Crime: Personally I think my classmate did a really great job with the usage of this widget. Her points were clear and they definitely made me curious about what else I could find on her page. Also the balance in between music and her voice was perfect!!

B. Anime Online: I think this audio was also pretty cool. His way of speaking was very formal which I guess is a good thing when trying to take a professional approach. Good information and overall a very good job.

C. Art ‘n’ Stuff: I actually love the way my classmate expressed themselves in this audio. I think it really suits the thematic of the blog and shows off skills like creativity and engagement. Aside from that, the audio itself was very clear and easy to understand. Amazing job!!

D. I Got Thoughts: I’m my opinion I think this audio is really good and my classmate worked very nicely with the audio widget option. His voice is very clear and his ideas all tie together. Furthermore the information given invites the listener to explore his page. Really good job!

E. Ari’s Blog: I think this audio is very cute. Probably because it’s animal themed hahaha. I really liked the way my classmate used her words and even though the quality was a little low I was still able to understand everything. Really liked it!!!!

TE #10: Third Trimester

TE #10: Third Trimester

During the past 3 months we’ve been working and developing many different ideas as a part of our technology class. This third trimester has been filled with different assessments, homework and special projects. As always I had a lot of fun while creating and coming up with my unique interpretation of each assignment. Even though I did have fun, it was still a bit stressful, but as a student I have to admit I’m pretty used to this lifestyle hahaha. I will now go into a little more detail about everything we did this trimester.

Starting off with the surveys we prepared through Google forms; we created questionnaires dedicated to our portals and our monographs. This helped us reach out to our audience and understand they’re thoughts and opinions. After that we dedicated a page of our site to the Monograph as a whole. If anyones interested I’ll add a link to that page down below. Moving on through the months, we started working with the different apps by creating workshops and lessons for our schools students to attend. Also I want to point out the fact that this trimester we really got into working in pairs which honestly is a dynamic I really enjoy. After the workshops it was time for my favorite assignment or special project; The Board Game. Here’s when I created Wellness Dash. A game mainly based of off my site and the healthy lifestyle thematic. Here I was able to use my creativity and really explore my craftiness and love for new ideas. If I had to choose a favorite from all the work we’ve been doing all year it would be this one.

Overall this Third Trimester was kind of a roller coaster. I has my highs and my lows. Moments were I felt productive and moments when stress won me over; but lately I’ve learned life is all about getting back on track and realizing what’s best if we’re looking to be successful. As always I really enjoyed putting my creativity and ideas out there and being able to show my classmates and all of y’all. Im definitely looking forward for what’s coming next🤍

RACE TO WIN

Race to Win was the board game created by my classmate Daniel Pagan. Honestly I really enjoyed playing this one so I decided to add it to this post. I think what caught my attention the most was the car thematic. My whole life I’ve been a really girly girl but cars are one of the things I really enjoy watching and discovering about. I observed a very dynamic interaction and just fun vibes overall while playing. Daniel’s instructions were pretty clear and honestly I didn’t really have any issues while we played. His game board was made out of recycled material like cardboard and paper which is a really eco friendly and creative addition. Everyone played really well and honestly it was a pretty tight race lol. I think if anything, he could add a little more dedication into his crafting for the game board, but honestly that’s not necessary to still have fun while playing it.

ARE WE ALIKE

My classmate Jaxiel also created his own board game. Are we alike is a game about knowing how compatible you are to your friends based on shows and movies. The thing that caught my attention the most this time was the characters he used to play the game. He based it off mostly on current and recent series that most of us knew and loved. I observed a very nice and put together dynamic since he organized everything through QR codes. His instructions were very clear and easy to follow and I really got the hang of it once I started playing. I think it could’ve been a little more creative when talking about the set up but overall the idea as a whole was really unique. Everyone played really harmoniously together and it had a very unique ambiance. As I mentioned earlier I think the creativity in terms of presentation could be a little more developed but overall Jaxiel did an amazing job.

A#8: Board Game Creation

A#8: Board Game Creation

My latest project related to this page was the creation of my very own board game! Honestly I had never tried to create something like this and I’m pretty excited about it!!! I’ve always been a very crafty person and in addition to this I love board games. Being able to come up with my own was just an amazing way to put these two together. The whole process started from a template I created over at google drawings which I’ll insert below 👇

I pretty much had a clear vision of what I wanted my game to be and consist of. After that I started creating my game cards over at the Canva platform. This was quite a relaxing process and being a person who loves digital work I really enjoyed it. After that I printed all of my elements in card stock paper and proceeded to cut everything by hand. Lastly i came up with the logo that’s presented at the top of this post!! (Also through the Canva platform). After this, all that was left to do was building my box for packaging. I went with a simple cardboard box and stored everything neatly on the inside. Pictures of my game will be uploaded soon as well as some people actually playing it so definitely look forward to that. This whole experience was very fun and calming to me. I love creating things from scratch and being able to put my own twist on them. Overall I really loved this project and it worked as a sort of stress reliever from all the work I was assigned this week lol:)

If you were to create your own board game, what would it be about?? Im curious hahaha. Feel free to comment under this post💗☁️✨

TSP #4: Survey: Keeping up with your Wellness

TSP #4: Survey: Keeping up with your Wellness

After reviewing the results of my survey I have to say I’m pretty pleased with the results. Most of the answers were positive which makes me happy. I consider wellness to be very important and finding out that people who surround me practice it gives me a sense of fulfillment and peace. Due to the fact that my questions were so specific it would be impossible for me to summarize my results without making an extremely long post lol. Im pretty sure all of you would get bored so I prepared a presentation which presents all of the answers using graphics and color. Most of the people who answered were from my school but I have some family members and close friends as well. Honestly I was pretty shocked with the age range of everyone who answered. It went from 17 years old to 61 years old! I think this was a pretty fun way of catching up with people and hopefully lead them on their way to create new healthy habits🤍

Here’s my past post we’re you can find the whole survey🤍
